This platform is the vision of Michael Kovach, founder of Laguna Labradors. As a newer breeder and owner-handler, Michael recognized the need for a centralized resource to connect the Labrador community. This site was created to be that essential hub, offering easy access to information on studs, kennels, clubs, and events. We’re also excited to introduce an innovative search feature that allows you to search by genotype, a concept inspired by our own coat color calculator.
We stand on the shoulders of giants within the Labrador community. We extend our sincere gratitude to those who have paved the way, particularly Dian Welle of Blue Knight Labradors for her invaluable Coat Color Inheritance webpage, as well as Kendall Herr of Dickendall Labradors and Elizabeth Arellano for their collaborative work on The Labrador Network. Their contributions have significantly influenced our commitment to sharing knowledge and fostering growth.
Our aim is to cultivate a more welcoming and collaborative environment within the Labrador world. This free platform is designed to bring us closer, enabling us to easily see upcoming events, support each other’s endeavors, showcase talented handlers, and efficiently find studs that meet specific criteria. It’s a place where we can share information, learn from one another, and help each other grow.
We genuinely hope that newer breeders, handlers, and pet parents will continue to develop a deep love for the Labrador breed, just as we all have.

Get to Know Me:
My focus is on user experience design, and I dedicate myself to crafting software that is intuitive, clear, and visually engaging. My professional background includes designing software for VVIP aircraft – think Air Force One. Additionally, I’ve contributed to applications that many people interact with regularly, and my design work has even appeared weekly on the back cover of People Magazine.
My other passion lies in horses and I’ve actively shown and bred since I was young.
